Natural Gas Leaks, Odors or Emergencies

Claiming Your energySMART Rebate

How do I get my rebate?

  1. Purchase your high-efficiency natural gas appliance and retain your receipt and proof of installation containing all information as outlined in Step 3 below.
  2. Complete the application form. You’ll need to fill out one form for EACH appliance you’ve purchased and installed.
  3. Scan your dated store/retailer receipt or invoice and save as a .jpg or .pdf – the receipt must include the store name, appliance type and the purchase price. In the electronic rebate application you will be able to browse and attach those files for submission. These forms MUST be submitted as part of your rebate application.
  4. Follow the same procedure for your dated contractor receipt or invoice for the installation of the appliance. The receipt or invoice must show the address where the appliance was installed, the installation date and the total amount charged for the installation of the appliance, the contractor’s name and telephone number. The charges for the appliance installation MUST be shown separately from any other work included on the same receipt or invoice.

Again, please save as a .jpg or .pdf and attach, using the browser button, at the appropriate point in the electronic application process.

NOTE: If you cannot submit your rebate application electronically, please call toll-free 888-248-9427 (option #3) for assistance.

An on-site inspection by a Florida City Gas representative may be required to verify the installation of an appliance prior to the payment of a rebate.
